Hello out there....

Ok, I swear I didn't really fall off the face of the earth - it just seems like it! Last week was grueling - I had four days of training - three of them pretty much scheduled for 8 hours. By the end of the week, I was so happy to not be in a training class, I wouldn't care what I did. I survived, however, to have a fabulous weekend. Since it was my birthday and the nearby casino gives $20 in free slot play to those who come in on their birthdays, Brian and I decided to head that way for a while, then spend the night somewhere nearby. After he (and I, for that matter) got out of work on Saturday, we took off for parts unknown (not really, but hey, if you can't use a little bit of literary license when talking about a trip, when can you use it?). We stopped for totally yummy Cold Stone Creamery ice cream, who by the way have added chocolate cake batter ice cream to their repetoire - oh my GOSH is it good!!, then headed to the hotel to check into our Jacuzzi room. After depositing our stuff, we went to the casino, where I cashed out $19.98 on the free $20.00, and Brian lost, then went to dinner at Bennigan's, where the fries were actually hot, unlike the one in Saginaw most of the time. Then it was back to the room to lounge in the Jacuzzi. I would have gone swimming, but there was some kind of a tournament with about ten thousand elementary school boys staying at the hotel, and they were all swimming both Saturday night and Sunday morning. That's OK - the Jacuzzi made up for it! Sunday evening, we went to dinner with my family, then went back to Aunt Rose's house for cake (chocolate with chocolate whipped frosting - can we say yum?). All in all, a very enjoyable birthday weekend. I'm also looking forward to my birthday present from Mom - we're going to see Little Shop of Horrors at the local theatre on Friday. Yay! Feed me, Seymour! Well, sing to me, at least! Have a great rest of the week, everyone! Peace!!
